Terms of use (end-user license agreement)
BLD Ops ("the app") is software built, owned and operated by Backlight Design LLC ("we") for the sole use of its owner. These terms describe that arrangement; they are published because Intuit asks every application connected to QuickBooks Online to publish an end-user license.
Who may use it
The app has one authorised user: the owner of Backlight Design LLC. It is not offered, licensed or sold to anyone else, and no other person may sign in or use it. If you have reached these pages, you are welcome to read them, and that is all the app offers you.
What it does
The app reads the owner's own business records and accounts (Airtable, Google Workspace, QuickBooks Online) and shows them in one place. In QuickBooks Online it creates and updates invoices as drafts only, on the owner's own tap, and reads them back; it never sends an invoice, records a payment, or changes any other record. Everything it does is at the owner's direction.
Third-party services
QuickBooks Online is provided by Intuit under Intuit's own terms, which govern the owner's QuickBooks account. The same holds for Google, Airtable, Cloudflare and the other services the app uses. The app does not alter those terms.
No warranty
The app is provided as it is, for the owner's own use, without warranty of any kind. The owner relies on QuickBooks, not the app, as the record of his invoices, and checks what the app proposes before it is saved.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Backlight Design LLC is not liable for any loss arising from use of the app. The owner is the only user, and the company and the owner are the same party.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States.
Changes
If these terms change, the new text appears here with a new effective date.
